Standing Order 2
Starfleet regulation prohibits the taking of intelligent life under any circumstances. All personnel must uphold this directive as a fundamental principle of our ethical code.
Standing Order 104, Section B, Paragraph 1A
In the absence of the assigned captain of a starship, a flag officer shall assume command if deemed necessary. The flag officer must act in accordance with Starfleet protocols and the safety of the crew.
Standing Order 104, Section C
Should admissible evidence indicate that a flag officer, having assumed command, is medically or psychologically unfit, the ranking officer may relieve them of duty. Such action requires a certification of unfitness from the ship's Chief Medical Officer, supported by relevant test results or documented incidents of concerning behavior.
Standing Order 2005
In a state of imminent threat, the captain is authorized to initiate the destruction of their starship by allowing matter and antimatter to mix in an uncontrolled manner. This order is to be executed only as a last resort to prevent the ship or crew from being captured by enemy forces.
Standing Order 28455
This order dictates the formal relief of a commanding officer by their successor. Such relief must be conducted with the utmost professionalism and in accordance with Starfleet protocols.

Starfleet has the authority to neutralize security threats to Deep Space 9 by any means necessary. Personnel must adhere to this directive to ensure the safety and security of the Federation.
